Into The Deep

The deep, it calls to me. An ardent pull divulging to my senses. I am alone floating on an ocean of perplexity. The land within sight, and yet I cannot reach. The waves, they urge me to safety, and still I look below, staring into the deep. What mysteries lie in the abyss? Surely no man has laid his head on the bed of pearls and awaken. Undoubtedly no heart has dived into the unknowable aquarian depths and escaped misfortune. A kiss from Sedna certainly would seal my fate and make my grave. Surely I would drown. I would not return. But still I gaze into the eyes of the mystic. Still I long to quiet my curiosity, and set my mind at ease. Oh god of chaos, bless me with the wisdom to answer the call of the deep. Illuminate the heavens with the stars in your sparking eyes to light my path. Kiss the winds with your succulent lips to hoist my sail. And sprinkle the waters with the pedals of your orchid to show my heart its way home. Oh yes, the deep, it calls to me.
